Broadcom is searching for an Engineering Manager for the Charlotte North Carolina MicroOptics location. This individual will lead a team of manufacturing engineers as they develop, test, modify, and create solutions to technical issues.
Requirements
- Strong experience in MicroOptics fabrication and/or semiconductor processes including photolithography, etch, metrology.
- Optical design/application experience preferred
- Strong statistical data driven approach to analysis and problem solving.
Responsibilities
- Manage a group of manufacturing engineers and technicians engaged in optimizing manufacturing methods
- Analyze process data to improve product/process quality, performance, production, and profitability.
- Oversee all the activities related to process improvement and sustaining engineering projects including schedule, budget, and KPI metrics.
- Develop, test, modify, and create solutions to technical issues.
Other
- Participate at all levels within the organization to establish functional business plans and to translate objectives and strategies into tactics to meet the short- and long- term goals.
- Work on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives
- Participate in customer and supplier communications / negotiations.
- Responsible for results, including costs, methods, and staffing, performance evaluation, career growth development and budgeting.
- Project management experience/discipline with the ability to successfully develop action plans and drive them to completion.
