Panelmatic, Inc. is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to design and implement electrical power systems for industrial, commercial, and domestic applications, ensuring cost-effectiveness, adherence to schedules and quality standards, and client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Ten or more years of experience in electrical design and engineering required
- Five or more years of experience in managing project managers and junior engineers required
- Five or more years of product knowledge of key electrical components of a Protection & Control Panel (SEL, Electroswitch, test switches, etc.) required
- Exhibit thorough understanding of pertinent codes and governing regulations, and industry practices
- Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills required
- Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required
Responsibilities
- Leads the engineering and project management efforts on assigned projects and is responsible for coordinating the individual Engineering Disciplines such that the most cost-effective total project solution for executing engineering work is achieved
- Ensures that the engineering work on the project is completed on schedule, meets quality standards including review meetings and checking procedures, performance is within the baseline man-hour and material budgets, required deliverables are produced and change management is executed in a timely manner
- Reviews the status of the schedule and progress performance with the Clients on a regular basis, and keep the General Managers apprised of issues
- Ensures the quality of the engineering execution and deliverables
- Coordinate and develop structural and electrical documents for the scope of work definition, specification, data sheets, equipment selection, drawing review, schematic development, wiring diagrams, physical layout drawings, and project close-out procedures for low to medium-voltage industrial power distribution systems
- Prepare and review purchase orders for various electrical equipment
- Coordinate inspection and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for Power Distribution Centers and control enclosure buildings with the GM, MM and quality control inspector

- Participates in people development through mentoring, development of training material, and conducting or training seminars
- Develops and builds client relations
- Work directly with the GM & MM to set project priorities, schedules, workloads, and personnel requirements.
- Oversee all state inspection submissions and approvals and insure they are completed in a timely manner.
