Trident is looking to solve the problem of ensuring technical excellence, schedule integrity, and alignment between engineering, manufacturing, and field operations across all projects.
Requirements
- Proficient in engineering design including 2D and 3D softwares.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, structural, and civil design principles applied to manufacturing and construction.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Inventor, and AutoCAD required.
- Experience with BIM workflows, digital collaboration platforms, and ERP or project management systems preferred.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement principles is an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and Bluebeam; strong documentation and organization skills.
- Skilled in managing multiple projects, resources, and priorities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and approve all technical deliverables including 3D models, general arrangements, PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.
- Ensure designs meet project requirements, safety codes, and manufacturing standards.
- Standardize and maintain design practices, templates, and documentation across the department.
- Review designs from external engineering partners for accuracy, integration, and compliance with company standards.
- Promote and implement digital workflows and tools (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Inventor, AutoCAD, BIM integration).
- Perform design work and drawings as needed to meet demands and train other coworkers.
- Maintain organized project documentation and ensure version control for all design assets.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Electrical preferred).
- Minimum 4–8 years of relevant engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire technical teams toward shared objectives.
- Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
