Discord is looking for an Engineering Manager to join their Ads team to build and scale their ads platform across the Discord stack, working within the org that builds targeting, delivery, and measurement solutions. The goal is to build revenue-driving products and services to make it easier and more fun for people to talk and hang out before, during, and after playing games.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
- 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager
- Prior experience with ad tech (especially tooling, measurement and targeting)
- Strong track record of driving measurable impact through experimentation and data driven decision making
Responsibilities
- building and scaling our ads platform across the Discord stack
- working within the org that builds our targeting, delivery, and measurement solutions
- lead a team of engineers working across platforms to build revenue driving products and services at Discord
- guide the technical direction of the team
- jump into the code when needed
- ensure your team is designing scalable technical solutions and delivering high-quality products
- Make sound first-principle decisions around resourcing and communicating the rationale clearly to partners and team members

- Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma counties).

- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000 - $279,000 + equity + benefits.
