Requirements
- Python, SQL, Terraform
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and practices
- Databricks, Spark, Structured Streaming
- Relational (Postgres) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) databases
- DataDog
- AWS or Azure and their data solutions
- Demonstrated experience with implementing AI-driven analysis tools into data pipelines
Responsibilities
- Manage a small, semi-distributed group of engineers
- Contribute 40% of time as a senior engineer on the PAR Retail data team
- Engage in code review, pairing, and presentational activities
- Develop technical and career growth plans for engineering reports
- Hold regular 1-1 meetings and provide hands-on coaching
- Collaborate with peers and Director of Software Development to improve engineering processes
- Assist with technical investigations and code development
Other
- 5+ years as a leader in software development, preferably at a SaaS company
- Demonstrable experience as a leader in geographically distributed teams building SaaS products
- Strong interpersonal and people-management skills, excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong sensibility for “keeping it simple” and managing systems complexity
- Comfort and experience with interacting with internal leadership and technical counterparts
