Deckorators is opening a new flagship extrusion and polymer manufacturing facility in Buffalo, NY, and needs an Engineering Manager to lead its startup and establish foundational systems and processes.
Requirements
- experience in profile extrusion processes.
- 7–10 years of engineering experience in extrusion, polymers, or plastics manufacturing.
- Hands-on knowledge of extrusion equipment and polymer material properties.
Responsibilities
- Drive extrusion and polymer process innovation at a state-of-the-art facility.
- Oversee extrusion and polymer manufacturing processes to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Manage equipment installation, commissioning, and production scale-up during plant startup.
- Partner with R&D and Product Development to bring new formulations and technologies to life.

- Build systems, policies, and procedures that set the foundation for success.
- Grow and develop a talented engineering team.
- Lead and mentor the engineering team, including quality and maintenance, creating a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for long-term success.
- Proven operations and plant leadership experience.
- 3+ years managing and developing teams.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related).
