X-energy LLC is looking to solve the business and technical problem of planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects and products related to the next generation nuclear reactor and/or nuclear fuel technologies by hiring a Manager, Engineering to lead and manage the engineering team.
Requirements
- Experience estimating time and resources needed to execute engineering activities.
- Requires specialized knowledge within the function of (Functional Area) engineering.
Responsibilities
- Manage the execution of the engineering design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program / project requirements.
- Manages the utilization of engineering resources across multiple projects and ensures qualified engineers are performing assigned work.
- Manage design cycle sprints and provide direction to ensure the convergence of efforts of engineering team members, partners, and suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality engineering work products that are on schedule and within budget as defined by the Project leadership.
- Influences the development of strategy, methodology, and technical tools for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and policy formulation.
- Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, tools, or services.
- Work within a multidisciplinary engineering team to create the next generation nuclear reactor and/or nuclear fuel related technologies.
- Perform work in accordance with design control procedures, ensuring thorough documentation of work, facilitation of internal and external design reviews, and control of product design configuration data.
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline from an accredited university or college.
- Typically, ten plus years of professional experience in (functional area) engineering after completion of undergraduate study. Graduate degrees typically count as two plus years of experience.
- Manage the facility and utility engineering team.
- Manages (functional area) engineering staff by ensuring staff are meeting expectations and promoting staff professional development.
- Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
