Vanta is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Frontend Platform team to build tooling for engineers to easily ship and maintain quality and performant frontend experiences, and to lay the foundation for all engineers to contribute better code, faster, while accelerating Vanta's engineering discipline through an innovative developer environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing technical teams of six or more engineers.
  • Proven track record in building and improving frontend infrastructure and tooling for developers.
  • Deep knowledge of modern development practices, developer tooling, and current web best practices and industry standards.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in hiring, mentoring, and growing senior engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills to build consensus with stakeholders and articulate the value of frontend infra and developer tools.
  • Experience planning, scoping, and executing on cross-org migrations with an emphasis on limiting migration cost to consumers.
  • Experience leading a frontend or web-specific platform team

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers focused on developing world-class developer productivity tools and infrastructure.
  • Define and implement strategies for improvements in frontend infrastructure, developer tooling, and release processes to enable rapid innovation while upholding high-security standards.
  • Drive the adoption and integration of tools, services, and APIs built by the team across the codebase.
  • Stay abreast of emerging web and frontend technologies and assess their applicability in streamlining development processes and client performance.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to deeply understand developer and client needs, identifying and implementing solutions that support secure and efficient development.
  • Design and refine processes that enhance team operations and continuously improve developer productivity as the organization scales.
  • Champion best practices for web clients and frontend stacks.
