RapidSOS is looking to solve the problem of emergency response by harnessing artificial and human intelligence to fuse life-saving data from connected devices, apps, and sensors and deliver it to public safety agencies
Requirements
- 8-10+ years of full-stack engineering experience
- 3-5+ years of experience leading engineering teams
- 3–5+ years of experience developing backend systems and services, preferably in Python or Node
- 3-5+ years of developing rich, interactive, scalable frontend applications with React/Redux, TypeScript, and modern HTML and CSS
- Experience with AWS, a solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, and familiarity with monitoring best practices using tools like Datadog
- Proven ability to lead technical decisions around system architecture and scalability
- Strong proficiency in coding best practices – ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code
Responsibilities
- Drive the architecture, design, and implementation of new features for the B2B side of RapidSOS—a React/TypeScript and Python-based application
- Champion an AI forward approach by guiding the team in using AI tools where they add real leverage in development, testing, data workflows, and rapid prototyping
- Own the end-to-end delivery of new products and features, from concept to release
- Lead strategic architectural decisions, help drive alignment, and optimize applications for performance, scalability, and accessibility
- Collaborate in an agile environment with stakeholders across Engineering, Sales, Design, and Product to develop solutions for RapidSOS products
- Stay hands-on with the codebase by leading standups and code reviews, contributing to features, resolving technical roadblocks, and championing best practices
- Grow, hire, onboard, mentor, and empower engineers
