Broadcom's VMware subsidiary is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the GPU Virtualization Team, responsible for integrating GPUs into the ESXi Operating System and providing acceleration for AI/ML and Graphics applications within Virtual Machines. The goal is to enable readily deployable, easily managed solutions with GPUs for modern applications.
Requirements
- Proficiency with complex software products.
- Knowledge of VMware's ESXi hypervisor and its kernel components
- Experience with GPU Technologies.
- Experience with Kernel Development and/or Graphics Drivers.
Responsibilities
- integrating GPUs into the ESXi Operating System
- providing acceleration to AI/ML and Graphics applications running inside the Virtual Machines
- integrating their latest data center GPUs with our ESXi hypervisor
- providing advanced Compute and Management capabilities for Virtual Machines
- oversee the GPU virtualization stack
- working closely with the Kernel team, Hypervisor team, and vCenter UI team
Other
- Ability to work across a larger organization to get agreement and drive the direction of the team
- Create detailed plans for delivery and work with the team to meet committed execution timelines
- Hire, train and supervise engineering staff members
- Actively contribute to setting strategic goals and provide insights to leadership on the latest trends in GPU Technology
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality products on schedule
- Design and document various processes to improve team efficiency
- Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations
- Work collaboratively within a team environment of other engineers to meet aggressive goals and high-quality standards
- Organizational competencies and project management skills to keep projects, processes, and the entire engineering team on track
- Interpersonal communication skills with expertise in distilling complicated topics to a broader audience
- Candidates are required to hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 10 years of related experience.
