Kraken is looking to accelerate the global adoption of crypto and achieve financial freedom and inclusion. The Growth Engineering team specifically aims to build experiences that connect people to the Kraken ecosystem for the first time and keep them engaged, thereby driving user acquisition, activation, and retention at scale.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages (e.g. TypeScript, Rust, Go, Python, or similar).
  • Solid technical foundation; you can engage in design discussions and help engineers make pragmatic trade-offs.
  • Experience with analytics, experimentation, or growth tooling.
  • Background in developer experience, SDKs, or internal platforms.
  • Experience operating in distributed, remote-first teams.
  • Exposure to scaling teams or processes during high-growth phases.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support a cross-functional team of engineers delivering growth-critical systems and features.
  • Provide technical guidance and context to help engineers make sound architectural and implementation decisions.
  • Collaborate daily with Product and Design to define scope, set priorities, and ensure seamless execution.
  • Keep projects moving forward — maintaining clear expectations, realistic estimates, and transparent communication with stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, trust, and learning — helping the team grow their impact and autonomy.
  • Improve team processes, communication, and collaboration across time zones.
  • Partner with other engineering leaders to ensure consistency and best practices across the broader Growth organization.
