BAE Systems is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead ~30 high performing engineers across multiple domains and technologies within the Systems Engineering department to ensure the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating technologies for their customers' missions.

Requirements

  • Experience in developing system architectures, architecture trade studies, performance analysis, mission modeling, system architecture realization, system CONOP.
  • Experience in space-based systems engineering or ground-based systems engineering.
  • Experience in technology management and strategic direction preferred.
  • Experience with model-based systems engineering preferred.
  • Budgeting/cost estimating experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage within the Mission Engineering Department which develops and implements processes and practices that ensure common Mission understanding within the organization.
  • Provide leadership and functional direction by exhibiting behaviors that would include a unifying vision, understanding the diverse needs of others to meet business challenges, and acting with humility and a collaborative spirit.
  • Support cross-enterprise communication and collaboration to provide best practices and institutional knowledge to all pursuits.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with Engineering peers, internal stakeholders, and external customers.
  • Experience in developing system architectures, architecture trade studies, performance analysis, mission modeling, system architecture realization, system CONOP.
  • Experience in space-based systems engineering or ground-based systems engineering.
  • Experience in technology management and strategic direction preferred.

Other

  • A technical background and experience in program and people leadership is required.
  • On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location.
  • A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
  • Ability to be self-motivated and detail oriented.
  • Possess excellent critical thinking skills.
