Requirements

  • Technical expertise with building and maintaining critical path services, such as user identity
  • Strong understanding of web application security principles
  • Familiarity with data pipelines and machine learning fundamentals
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing new technologies within organizations
  • Experience with fullstack user-facing web application development
  • Experience with building and maintaining high-quality and rapid release processes and infrastructure
  • Experience with project management for building and maintaining high-quality and rapid release processes and infrastructure

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead the team to define the strategic direction of platforms in alignment with the company's overall technology and Product strategy
  • Maintain a hands-on approach and willingness to stay connected with the code by regularly contributing to the codebase with small fixes and enhancements
  • Implement and manage robust security protocols to protect platforms and data
  • Cultivate a team culture characterized by excellence, high performance, and a strong sense of ownership by leading recruitment, mentoring, and professional development initiatives
  • Continually evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends, assessing their potential application to the organization
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements and support team's execution
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, caring, and improvement within the team and in the broader engineering organization

Other

  • 5-8+ years of experience, with at least 3 years managing a team of 5+ engineers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication ability, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
