MTA C&D is looking for an Engineering Manager Level 2 to be involved in all project lifecycle phases, including planning, scheduling, analysis, design, technical specifications, and reports for MTA infrastructure.
Requirements
- A registered NYS licensed professional engineer (PE) is required.
- Experience performing site inspections, documenting site conditions and construction activities, coordinating with Agency Owner and contractor staff, and responding to contractor requests for information.
- Knowledge of applicable industry and NYS building and design codes and standards.
- Proficiency in current design and engineering software and Microsoft Office are required.
- Has experience in interpreting engineering reports and analysis.
- Knowledge of the capital design and construction process.
Responsibilities
- Designs/supervises various aspects of a project for MTA infrastructure.
- Performs technical and feasibility studies, including analyzing historical data, surveys, reports, and as-builts to create innovative engineering design projects.
- Reviews designs, tests, assesses materials and performs/reviews engineering calculations.
- Conducts site visits to obtain existing conditions and correctly identify design and construction risks.
- Plans and coordinates required permitting and approval documentation that supports their designs.
- Manages a small team of design engineers.
- Adheres to corporate quality control standards within the discipline.
