Emerson is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the mechanical evaluation of control valves, actuation systems, and accessories, focusing on strategic planning, team leadership, workflow coordination, and continuous improvement in testing and development.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of engineering experience, where a good working knowledge of engineering principles, techniques and applications has been obtained.
- Demonstrated experience with industrial process control equipment, which may include valves, actuators, piping, and instrumentation.
- Ability to supervise a group of technical people and proven team leadership skills.
- Ability to work complex projects with many collaborators.
Responsibilities
- Lead and align initiatives with department vision and strategic drivers
- Develop and manage test plans and schedules (Marathon, Sprint)
- Ensure quality and efficiency in testing and reporting
- Track metrics to support strategic decisions
- Maintain resource utilization and improve performance metrics
- Represent the organization in technical committees and councils
- Enable team capacity for innovation and safety improvements
Other
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 8+ years of technical management experience
- Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
- Graduate degrees or additional coursework in Business and/or Engineering
