Hillpointe is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead design teams in the design and production of construction plans, technical calculations, reports, and permitting for multi-family development projects in Georgia, Florida, and the Southeast.
Requirements
- Advanced skills in leading the design of civil-site projects with experience in developing grading plans, utilities, hydrology and hydraulics and roadway design.
- AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydraflow/ICPR (or equivalent), WaterCAD, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Smartsheets
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in Georgia
- Understanding of site grading, storm drainage, erosion and sediment control, and stormwater design principles
Responsibilities
- Oversees the design and production of construction plans and permit submittal documents
- QA/QC Construction plan sets for site development and review in accordance with Hillpointe standards, local jurisdictional standards, and engineering best practices.
- Maintain licensure and be the established Engineer of Record for construction documents.
- Manage schedules, timelines and balance the workload of design teams.
- Provide construction administration services as required that include but are not limited to, attending pre-construction meetings, reviewing shop drawings, 7-Day inspections, and pond as-built verification.
- Coordinate with agency/municipality staff, engineers/consultants, architects, project team, contractor, and ownership
- Engineer of Record for projects under supervision

- Provide mentorship to Engineers and assist in skill development as well as responsible for hiring necessary staff.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to work independently with little direction as well as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining key deadlines
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related field
