Siemens is seeking an experienced engineering leader to build and lead a dedicated team focused on advancing power circuit breaker based product lines, ensuring technical excellence, and shaping the future of low-voltage power distribution.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of standards related to power circuit breakers such as UL 1066, UL 489, ANSI C37.13, ANSI 37.50 and IEC 60947-2
  • Experience with PLM systems, CAD tools, and simulation software
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing systems such as routings, BOMs and configuration control
  • Proficiency in German is advantageous but not required
  • Experience in product development, preferably in low-voltage circuit protection devices (typically <1000 VAC or <1500VDC) or power switchgear
  • Validated leadership experience with engineering teams and sophisticated projects
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Building and leading a high-performing engineering team focused on power circuit breaker technology
  • Mentoring and developing team members, fostering technical growth and career advancement
  • Driving continuous improvement in design, testing, validation, and implementation of power circuit breaker systems
  • Ensuring compliance with international standards (UL, ANSI, IEC) and safety regulations
  • Working closely with global R&D teams to lead innovation initiatives to enhance product performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
  • Working with multi-functional teams including Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality and Supply Chain to drive localization efforts
  • Supervising product lifecycle changes through structured engineering change control procedures

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • People management experience is preferred; however, candidates with strong leadership skills will also be considered
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical collaborators
  • 8+ years of experience in product development
