MongoDB is looking for an experienced manager and technical leader to join the MongoDB Server Query team to help build a world-class distributed open-source query processing engine, which plays a crucial role in the experience and performance of data processing.
Requirements
- Experience in data management systems
- Hand-on coding skills in C++ or another backend/systems language
- Experience with building production-level code with a large user base, robust design, and rigorous code quality
- Passion for the theory and practice of database query engines
- Strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design/architecture
- Experience with distributed systems and cloud-based technologies
- Familiarity with MongoDB's products and technologies
Responsibilities
- Design and build the heart of a distributed, flexible schema, document database
- Deliver complete features in collaboration with the broader Query engineering and product team
- Accurately estimate work and deliver it on time and with high code and design quality
- Train and motivate your team and recruit new team members
- Set high standards when evaluating the performance of your team
- Provide design and architectural guidance for your team's work
- Identify what mentorship each individual needs to enable them to meet their goals
