The company is looking to solve the problem of managing all engineering activities within a department, including design, development, production, and testing, to improve development efficiency and meet project milestones and budgets.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Engineering principles and practices
  • Knowledge of Automotive, Transit and Mobility industry
  • Experience with design calculations, specifications, drawings, process layouts, and capacity planning
  • Experience with project management and testing of products and/or components
  • Knowledge of ISO and Product Design Plan programs
  • Experience with semi-annual financial audits and year-end inventory

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates activities of engineers, designers, and technicians by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of the assigned team to meet goals and objectives as defined for the department.
  • Directs and leads development, implementation, and revisions of the company’s products with clear and specific objectives, involving existing and new materials and products utilized in the Automotive, Transit and Mobility industry.
  • Performs design calculations, prepares specifications, drawings, process layouts, capacity planning and other sound Engineering principles to implement into the production processes.
  • Analyzes technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
  • Directs necessary testing of products and/or components and provides training on new or revised products, product, and process improvements.
  • Supports Work Order Review, Product Support Requests, ISO, and Product Design Plan programs.
  • Supports semi-annual financial audits and year-end inventory as requested.
