Siemens Industry, Inc. is seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive innovation, ensure technical excellence, and shape the future of residential energy by leading a dedicated team focused on advancing residential power management and circuit protection product lines.
Requirements
- Product development of electromechanical and/or power electronics-based systems
- Residential power management, circuit protection, energy storage, microgrids, or connected home/IoT devices
- Cross-disciplinary engineering collaboration (mechanical, electrical, and software)
- Defining and managing technical requirements for complex systems
- Leading engineering projects or teams in regulated environments
- Experience working with embedded systems, control software, or communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Modbus, or similar)
- Familiarity with residential energy, utility infrastructure, EV charging, inverter-based systems, or transfer switch–like technologies
Responsibilities
- Leading and developing a multidisciplinary R&D team (mechanical and electrical engineers), fostering technical growth, accountability, and collaboration
- Overseeing end-to-end product development, including requirements definition, design, testing, validation, and commercialization of residential power management and circuit protection products
- Driving system-level integration of residential energy technologies such as power source managers, microgrid interconnection devices, energy storage systems, inverter-based resources, and EV-based power sources
- Ensuring compliance with applicable safety, regulatory, and interconnection standards (e.g., UL, NEC, IEEE) throughout the product lifecycle
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Software teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions
- Engaging directly with B2B customers and partners to support technical discovery, clarify integration requirements, and translate customer needs into actionable engineering solutions
- Providing technical oversight and subject matter expertise to resolve complex system, integration, or performance issues as products and priorities evolve
Other
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 8+ years of experience
- Occasional domestic travel may be required
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
- Prior people management experience, or demonstrated leadership of complex engineering programs or project teams
