Westlake Royal Building Products is seeking to enhance safety, quality, service, and cost-effectiveness within its siding business by spearheading manufacturing engineering operations and leading a high-performing engineering team.
Requirements
- Min 10 years of work experience in engineering
- Six Sigma or Lean experience preferred
- Strong data and analytical skills for business, science, and technical problems
- Experience leading engineering at a plant level
- Knowledge in equipment reliability preferred
Responsibilities
- Cultivate a safety-first culture within the engineering team, proactively identifying and mitigating risks in both engineering practices and equipment operation.
- Lead pivotal projects aimed at enhancing overall safety and environmental compliance in manufacturing.
- Spearhead the development and empowerment of a dynamic, multinational engineering team spread across multiple plants.
- Take charge of the annual planning and execution cycle for siding facilities, encompassing capital budgets, capacity expansions, and productivity enhancements.
- Provide steadfast support to maintenance teams in the repair, upkeep, and modification of manufacturing tooling, bolstering operational efficiency and reliability.
- Demonstrate adept project management and engineering practices to ensure the successful execution of projects, aligning with strategic goals, future growth projections, and customer demands.
- Assume ownership of the science behind product development and manufacturing of siding and siding systems.

- Bachelor of Science Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Strong communication and persuasion skills working at all levels of an organization
- Detail-oriented with the ability to catch minor errors which can result in major problems
- Organizational skills for keeping track of various budgets, employees, and schedules simultaneously
- Ability to travel up to 25% in support of several plants, including international travel
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and passport for international travel, specifically Canada
