Vitesse Systems is looking to optimize the functionality of antenna and thermal management systems for next-generation Radar, Electronic Warfare, and C4I systems. The Engineering Manager will oversee the Mechanical Engineering department, ensuring efficient project execution and team development to meet these goals.

Requirements

  • Software proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Solidworks or similar CAD software and web-based applications.
  • Experience with CNC machining, brazing and metal finishing desired
  • Experience with military specifications and AS9100 desired
  • Experience with technical writing/reviewing
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or equivalent Engineering
  • 5-8 years of experience in technical team management
  • 2-3 years of experience in program and/or project management desired

Responsibilities

  • Assign engineering resources to projects and coordinate priorities between projects
  • Lead the engineering team in process improvements to align with strategic business initiatives
  • Facilitate risk identification and mitigation throughout program lifecycles
  • Review designs, technical documents, and test procedures
  • Participate in resource planning for proposals (cost/schedule/resource loading)
  • Participate in root cause/corrective action activities (for NCRs that are related to design/analysis issues)
  • Make effective presentations on products and capabilities of the group.

  • Manage, develop and provide oversight of the engineering team
  • Be a strong advocate for Servant Leadership within the company
  • Foster a culture of design for manufacturing and assembly
  • Communicate clear performance expectations and hold individuals accountable
  • Mentor team members in personal and career development
