Requirements

  • Strong technical understanding of operating systems and how the various layers in the software stack fit together
  • Foundational understanding of system software fundamentals
  • Experience in consumer products and/or other product development
  • BS in Computer Science or related field
  • 1+ year of experience as a technical software Project or Program Manager
  • Consistent track record of timely project delivery and leading entire project life cycle
  • Ability to build relationships and influence teams to adopt standard methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Partner with software engineers and managers to define, schedule, and track the team's work
  • Bring together different teams from Software, Clinical, Regulatory, Hardware, Research and Design, among other teams, while delivering on cutting edge technology across all our operating systems
  • Define, schedule, and track the team's work and also do the same for many cross-functional initiatives
  • Deliver on cutting edge technology across all our operating systems
  • Work with many different teams across Apple
  • Solve challenging problems in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment
  • Help innovate and take the most advanced operating systems to the next level

Other

  • 1+ year of experience as a technical software Project or Program Manager
  • BS in Computer Science or related field
  • Excellent spoken and written communication
  • Self-motivated and proactive with critical thinking and resourcefulness to drive the project to success
  • Ability to build relationships and influence teams to adopt standard methodologies
