Apple is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to oversee internal software applications development, drive strategic planning, improve cross-functional alignment, and strengthen senior-level stakeholder communication.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of Engineering Project Management expertise of customer facing applications and technologies.
- Tactical experience implementing projects using Agile methodologies across distributed teams.
- Strong planning capabilities, organizational skills, cross-functional collaboration and process optimization.
- Focus on software development metrics collection and analysis to drive data-informed decision-making and improve project outcomes.
- PMI and/or Agile Project Management certifications is a plus
- Experience in software development
- Ability to build and maintain clear roadmaps, and can break down complex or ambiguous work into actionable plans
Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale, cross-functional programs, driving the end-to-end delivery of customer-facing software and services; from strategy and planning through deployment and post-launch support.
- Drive alignment across teams by shaping program goals, managing dependencies, and influencing product direction to ensure priorities support business objectives.
- Collaborate with functional leads to manage resources, risks, and interdependencies, while ensuring key plans (e.g., QA, user communications) are defined, tracked, and executed.
- Own project documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication to ensure visibility, accountability, and informed decision-making across teams.
- Apply structured problem-solving and critical thinking to resolve conflicts, navigate ambiguity, and drive execution in a dynamic environment.
- Champion continuous improvement by advancing PMO processes, supporting change management, and driving better execution quality and strategic alignment.
- Proactively identifying timeline risks and presenting well-formed mitigation paths.

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field - or equivalent work experience.
- Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field - or equivalent work experience.
- Strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors, ensuring clear communication, alignment on goals, and regular progress updates to drive successful collaboration.
- Able to quickly grasp complex ideas and resolve conflicts across cross-functional teams (engineers, designers, etc.), fostering collaboration and maintaining project momentum
- Comfortable going deep into project details, aligning diverse perspectives, and confidently communicating status and trade-offs to executive leadership.
