M&T Bank is seeking an Engineering Team Lead to spearhead efforts in modern money movement integrations, implementing and expanding their portfolio of seamless, secure, and resilient monetary implementations.

Requirements

  • RESTful api solutions built with java, spring boot and MSSQL.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and contribute to the implementation of modern money movement API solutions that includes integrations with multiple disparate systems
  • Collaborate with developers and architects on RESTful api solutions built with java, spring boot and MSSQL.
  • Serve as subject matter expert in assigned area of responsibility to effectively design, implement, and manage application operations leveraging enterprise monitoring and alerting
  • Build and scale the technology team by hiring additional developers as needed.

Other

  • Guide a team of developers (mix of contractors and full-time employees) to deliver on money movement initiatives.
  • Exercise usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, performance management and terminations.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
  • A combined minimum of 9 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 4 years’ engineering and/or architecture experience and 3 years leadership experience
  • Ability to manage and mentor a team of developers in a dynamic environment.
