Salas O’Brien is looking to implement critical cloud and AI initiatives and needs an IT Intern to assist with the implementation and support of these systems, interfacing with both IT resources and business leadership.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and technologies.
- Familiarity with Building Information Modeling and related technologies.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Java, Python, C++)
- Experience with IT support tools and systems (e.g., help desk software, remote desktop support.)
- Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., SQL, MySQL)
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Responsibilities
- Assist with the implementation of cloud-based systems related to File and Document Management, Project Information Management, Building Information Management as well as implementation of AI tools in these areas.
- Work with the Enterprise Applications team to engage business units in the planning, implementation and support of these systems
- Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting software issues, and assisting with software installations and upgrades.
- Assist in system administration tasks, including user account management.
- Coordinate with the network administration team on cloud platform requirements.
- Collaborate with IT team members on software development projects, including coding, testing, and debugging.
- Help maintain documentation for related IT systems, procedures, and best practices.
