The Ohio State University's Enterprise for Research, Innovation, and Knowledge (ERIK) needs to manage and enhance research administration systems to improve reportability, reliability, consistency, and efficiency within its administrative units.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or other relevant technical experience.
  • Demonstrates exceptional technical problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with the complexities of running enterprise systems.
  • Strong math and logic skills for implementing complex business processes.
  • Working knowledge of modern development and application integration techniques and practices.
  • Experience in using commercially available or open-source technologies to create business solutions.
  • Experience with business process technologies such as Microsoft Power Platform.

Responsibilities

  • manage and enhance research administration systems to improve reportability, reliability, consistency, and efficiency within all ERIK administrative units
  • evaluating existing systems and processes
  • providing recommendations for process and technical changes
  • implementing business processes when able to do so using existing software in a no-code or low-code environment
  • developing requirements and processes for leading and supporting the implementation of these changes
  • assisting the process owner in the transitory process including providing support and guidance to staff members, investigating process implementation errors, data corrections, compliance reporting, and temporary workarounds to the suggested process as appropriate
  • interface with local and university operations and work with development teams to drive a culture of continuous quality improvement for the systems they oversee

  • Two years of relevant experience working and communicating with individuals with varying skill sets.
