Barings is seeking an Enterprise Architect to shape and maintain the architecture framework that supports the organization's strategic objectives, ensuring robust governance processes and that data remains a trusted asset across the enterprise.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, enterprise architecture, Architecture and Design Governance, or related roles.
• Expertise in: Cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, Databricks)
• Expertise in: Data integration and messaging (e.g., Azure APIM, Service Bus, Azure Data Factory, REST APIs)
• Expertise in: Metadata and governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Purview)
• Expertise in: Data Visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI)
• Expertise in: Data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical)
• Expertise in: Enterprise architecture tools (e.g., Ardoq)

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance the enterprise architecture framework, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and regulatory standards.
• Support and improve architecture governance processes and tools and participate in forums like the Architecture Review Board (ARB) to aid decision-making and ensure compliance with standards and best practices.
• Advise and support project teams on architectural design, solution selection, and implementation, promoting scalable and sustainable technology solutions.
• Maintain and contribute to enterprise-wide knowledge repositories and architecture artifacts, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including solution architects, data engineers, business analysts, Security, Compliance, and platform teams, to define and implement data architecture strategies and roadmaps that drive business growth and operational efficiency.
• Support the creation and maintenance of reference architectures and integration patterns for data movement, consumption, and interoperability.
• Design scalable solutions across structured and unstructured data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Azure Data Fabric, Azure Data Lake, SharePoint).

• Familiarity with financial services data domains (e.g., investments, origination, research, client onboarding) and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in Architecture and Design governance processes, tooling and integrations in large organisations while working with technical and business stakeholders.
• Proven ability to contribute to enterprise data strategies, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and deliver high-quality architectural artifacts.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge technical and business audiences.
