Zions Bancorporation's Enterprise Technology and Operations (ETO) team is transforming what it means to work for a financial institution and is seeking an Enterprise Architect - Cloud to design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions that align with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in IT, with at least 2 years in cloud architecture roles.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation).
- Strong understanding of cloud security, networking and identity management.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, software delivery patterns, and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud-native and hybrid architectures across platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Develop and maintain cloud architecture blueprints, standards, and reference models.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevOps, engineering, and infrastructure teams to ensure secure and compliant cloud deployments and strategies.
- Evaluate and recommend cloud services, tools, and frameworks to support business needs and support architectural patterns.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams on cloud best practices.
- Participate in architecture reviews and ensure alignment with frameworks like TOGAF, CCM, and NIST CSF.
- Support audits, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives related to cloud infrastructure.
