Zions Bancorporation's Enterprise Technology and Operations (ETO) team is transforming what it means to work for a financial institution and is seeking an Enterprise Architect - Cloud to design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions that align with enterprise architecture standards and business objectives.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in IT, with at least 2 years in cloud architecture roles.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation).
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, networking and identity management.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, software delivery patterns, and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud-native and hybrid architectures across platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Develop and maintain cloud architecture blueprints, standards, and reference models.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevOps, engineering, and infrastructure teams to ensure secure and compliant cloud deployments and strategies.
  • Evaluate and recommend cloud services, tools, and frameworks to support business needs and support architectural patterns.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams on cloud best practices.
  • Participate in architecture reviews and ensure alignment with frameworks like TOGAF, CCM, and NIST CSF.
  • Support audits, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives related to cloud infrastructure.

  • Strong ability to communicate, present, and influence on technical subjects.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
