The Boeing Company is looking for an Entry Level Software Engineer Developer to join their Mission Systems team in Daytona Beach, Florida. This role will focus on designing, developing, and demonstrating avionics solutions for aircraft platforms, integrating innovative technologies to maintain battlefield dominance, and supporting Flight Simulation products. The goal is to ensure the development of software that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards, contributing to the company's position as a global leader in defense, space, and security.

Requirements

  • Experience with any of the following software development languages: Ada, C, C++, C, JAVA, and Python
  • Experience working on a project where various software development methodologies are being utilized
  • Experience developing embedded real-time software
  • Experience developing models and simulation
  • Experience developing Operational Flight Program (OFP) software for an aircraft platform
  • Experience working with Real-time Operating Systems (RTOS)
  • Experience with object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Supports the design, development, test, and maintenance of non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle that meets industry, customer, safety, and regulation standards.
  • Assists with review, analysis and translation of customer requirements into initial design of software products.
  • Supports development, maintenance, enhancement and optimization of software products and functionalities for systems integrations.
  • Supports development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products.
  • Supports debugging and resolution of issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products.
  • Participates in handling user inquiries, troubleshooting technical issues and user feedback analysis.
  • Supports implementation of current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development.

  • This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
  • The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
