The Boeing Company is looking to support the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization by developing and maintaining software systems for the B-1B aircraft, in collaboration with the United States Air Force (USAF) Customer.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of various software development methodologies
- Familiarity with supporting the creation or modification of software requirements
- Experience with aircraft software development for defense systems
- Experience working in an Agile software development environment
- The ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance (interim prestart, final post start)
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, physics, mathematics, or computer science
Responsibilities
- Gathers information to design, develop, analyze, and maintain software systems that meet industry, customer and internal quality, safety, security and certification standards
- Partners with appropriate stakeholders to inform system definition and participates in translation of system-level requirements into software requirements and models that meet customer, operational and performance requirements and have clear traceability to design, code and test artifacts
- Assists in completion of software system-level analyses to identify risk, issues and opportunities; supports integration and deployment of mitigation actions throughout the software lifecycle
- Participates in code reviews to ensure alignment to requirements and standards
- Assists with monitoring and reviewing test completion, verification processes and issue resolution for software systems
- Gathers information for development of user documentation and training to educate end users about usage of software products
- Aids with reviewing product and process for alignment with project plans and industry standards by participating in tracking and evaluation of internal team and supplier performance

- Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship
- U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required
- Must be willing to work 100% onsite at one of the listed location options
- Must be willing to participate in drug testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol
