Boeing is seeking Entry-Level Software Engineers–Developers to support its P-8 Mission Execution Software team, focusing on the Boeing Defense, Space and Security Services (BDS) business organization. This role is crucial for developing and maintaining software for the P-8 Poseidon program, a key asset for the US Navy and international partners, ensuring continued operational capability and future growth.
Requirements
- Experience with Java (preferred), C++ or C programming language experience
- Development experience in Linux or Windows environments
- Specific scripting languages: XML, Pearl, Python
- Agile software development processes
- Use case development
- Protocols: Networking, Serial, Device I/O, Wireless Communication
- Development of Training software and User Interface design
Responsibilities
- Designs and develops Mission Systems, Simulation or Trainer Support software
- Participates in use case development for software requirements
- Develops and conducts unit and integration tests
- Participates in peer reviews
- Supports root cause analysis and correction for delivered products
- Supports system test, aircraft delivery, and ground and flight-based test events

- This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
- Ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start).
