Emerson is seeking an Entry Software Developer to join their DevOps team to enhance their software delivery pipelines and capabilities for their DeltaV product, an industry-leading process control system.
Requirements
- Experience in C-Sharp or a similar Object-Oriented programming language with hands-on experience using IDEs (such as Visual Studio, VS Code, Eclipse, etc.) on Windows OS
- Experience with Git source control
- Knowledge of / Experience in computer systems and components
- Experience with Microsoft operating systems
- Knowledge of DevOps (Development Operations) practices and principles
- Familiarity with Virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V / VMware / KVM
- Scripting capabilities in PowerShell and/or Python
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance existing software builds and developer environments
- Create and support next-generation cloud-based tools
- Collaborate with team members, product developers, and leadership to build and maintain our continuous delivery pipeline
- Research, prototype, and implement cutting-edge technologies to strengthen our market leadership
- Leverage the latest tools and frameworks to accelerate business outcomes and enhance our software delivery processes
- Develop automated processes that expand our CI/CD pipeline and ensure release-ready products
- Create scripts and programs to streamline both routine and complex tasks

- Engage in agile practices including sprint planning and retrospectives, plus participate in Hackathons, Tech Talks, and Communities of Practice
