Barr is seeking an environmental data management technician to support the Assessment and Remediation business unit by managing, validating, and analyzing large environmental datasets.
Requirements
work primarily in the environmental database EQuIS and heavily in Microsoft Excel
performing advanced formulas and functions in Microsoft Excel
apply scientific and environmental knowledge to manage, validate, and analyze large datasets using EQuIS and Microsoft Excel
Use advanced Excel tools such as pivot tables, macros, and formulas to support data-driven environmental projects with precision and consistency
strong computer skills, including experience with EQuIS and Microsoft Suite
knowledge and experience with the following applications: Access, Python, R, and/or Power BI
Knowledge of chemistry and/or geology

entering data into the EQuIS database
manually checking data thoroughly against original documents
entering geologic data and producing boring logs
producing charts and reports
