Boeing Commercial Airplanes is hiring a Production Asset Software & Controls Equipment Engineer to support production equipment on the 737 program in Renton, WA, to make a direct impact on aircraft production.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 2 or more years’ related engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- PLC programming experience, e.g. Siemens, Rockwell, Fanuc, or similar
- Programming experience with C-Sharp, Java, Visual Basic, or similar
- Experience with systems diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of industrial networking, servers, and databases.
- Experience with computer aided design (CAD) with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor or Catia
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, select, and validate hardware and software for automated control systems.
- Implement and validate upgraded hardware and software in production automation.
- Design and implement safety solutions for equipment.
- Analyze equipment data and perform root cause analysis for systemic production issues.
- Develop, test, and evaluate software and hardware changes.
- Design, develop, and support equipment network technologies and cybersecurity measures.
- Partner with Operations to define and implement data collection strategies.
