Bechtel is looking to solve the business and technical problem of accurately gathering, sorting, analyzing, and determining trends from Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) statistical data for projects, global business units, and the ES&H function. This involves contributing to the development and improvement of processes, procedures, methodologies, and systems for statistical reporting and data analysis.
Requirements
- Knowledge and understanding in the field of data collecting, analysis, and statistics.
- Proficiency and experience in researching published industry statistics for comparison and benchmarking purposes.
- Knowledge of regulatory recordkeeping requirements (e.g., definition of a recordable, restricted or lost-time case as used by regulatory agencies as exemplified by OSHA, HSE, and EPA).
- Capable of working the ES&H safety data system (WebSDS).
Responsibilities
- Responsible for Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) statistical reporting for projects, global business unit (GBU) and/or ES&H function requiring an ability to gather, sort, analyze and determine trends based on the data gathered.
- Contributes to the development and improvement of processes, procedures, methodologies and systems relevant to statistical reporting, including preparation of appropriate documentation, reports, and/or spreadsheets.
- Undertakes the technical aspects of processing information and data analysis in areas relevant to a project, GBU and/or ES&H function.
- Maintains ES&H databases, inclusive of incident events, audit/assessment findings, and corrective actions
- Performs statistical analysis of ES&H data to help identify performance trends and contributing factors as part of continuous improvement
- Helps identify and coordinate any unique software systems and electronic innovation used by ES&H personnel
- Prepares communications, writes reports, and prepares documents for program execution and records retention
