enGen is looking to support analytical aspects of business products and services life cycle by assisting in collaboration with customers to understand data, reporting, and analytical capability needs.

Requirements

  • Conceptual understanding of design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns in the building and deploying of scalable, highly available systems
  • Experience with SQL and at least one database technologies (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • Experience with at least one data warehousing concepts and solutions (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
  • Ability to translate requirements, design mockups, prototypes, or user stories into technical designs
  • Exposure to Cloud platform (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) and their respective data services
  • Technical proficiency Comfortable with a range of data tools and technologies, with a willingness to learn new skills as needed
  • Basic analytical skills with a focus on details and accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, product, analytics, and business teams to gather requirements and provide data solutions that meet organizational needs
  • Perform data analysis and provide insights to support decision-making across various departments
  • Develop and maintain data models, databases, and data warehouses to support business intelligence and analytics needs
  • Work with more senior team members, customers, Data Engineers, Data Architects, and Capability Managers to capture capability needs and drive quality data and reporting solutions
  • Create and maintain deliverables such as a data set creation, operational reports, and analytical dashboards
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering, recommending new tools and best practices as needed
  • Effectively communicate with team members, customers, partners, and management, including assisting with requirement walkthroughs, reporting project status, and providing accurate and concise documentation

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. independently
  • Must be enrolled as a current standing Junior in an accredited Bachelor's or higher program with an anticipated graduation date within 12 months of internship start date (field of study Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering or related field)
  • High School/GED
  • 1 year in one or more club, volunteerism effort, or other activity outside of classroom
  • Less than 25% travel required
