MIO Partners, Inc. (MIO) is seeking an Execution Trader to join the Investment team to develop expertise across multiple asset classes and be responsible for the efficient execution of trading strategies.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience trading financial instruments across various asset classes (Commodities, Volatility, and FX; futures experience preferred)
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Ability to quickly learn relevant applications such as trade execution platforms (Bloomberg FXGO, EMSX, FIT, etc.) and portfolio management systems
- Technical proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of a programming language a plus
- Strong attention to detail and operational accuracy
- Ability to assess, prioritize and execute multiple tasks under pressure
- Experience with trade execution platforms and portfolio management systems
Responsibilities
- Work closely with portfolio managers and quantitative researchers to execute investment ideas in the market
- Develop liquidity theses and trading implementation strategies through collection and analysis of market data, including but not limited to screen pricing, risk pricing, volumes, broker and market maker activity
- Research market and product trends, and assess trading viability through counterparty discussions, exchange reporting analysis, and exploratory pricing of diverse structures
- Ensure optimal cross-asset execution versus industry benchmarks by analyzing historical slippage and trends, and live market liquidity and pricing indicators
- Leverage portfolio management system for trade entry and portfolio tracking
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with trading counterparties
- Lead and manage trading-related process projects and ongoing tasks; analyze, propose, and implement improvements
Other
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in execution trading or similar function (macro or CTA background preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university
- Values-driven, high sense of personal accountability
- Ability to build and maintain internal/external relationships
