Banner Health is looking to centralize software development and custom application development to improve the experience of patients, employees, and providers through digital transformation.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of software engineering
  • Solid understanding of micro-services driven application architecture and API development
  • Experience in creating and publishing data and AI products and services in a healthcare setting
  • Strong expertise in cloud technologies, particularly AWS and Azure
  • Proficient understanding of modern software development frameworks including Java / JavaScript / TypeScript frameworks, API development, Microservices architecture, DevOps practices, Agile methodologies
  • Experience with Version control systems (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, Code quality tools, automated testing frameworks, container orchestration platforms, Cloud-native technologies
  • Experience in establishing and scaling development practices

Responsibilities

  • Leads and oversees all custom software development initiatives across Banner Health.
  • Establishes departmental objectives and develop effective tools to measure and report performance against these objectives.
  • Drives digital transformation through innovative software solutions.
  • Envisions, develops, and executes the strategic roadmap for software development to ensure data is well managed and appropriately available to stakeholders.
  • Leads and mentors the software engineering teams.
  • Ensures delivery of high-quality, scalable software solutions.
  • Partners with business stakeholders to align technology solutions with organizational goals.

Other

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or a related technical field
  • Ten years of progressively responsible managerial experience
  • 3 years managing high-performing technical teams
  • Strong leadership competencies with demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing engineering teams
  • Excellence in stakeholder management and communication
