The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Estimating & Pricing Specialist to develop and maintain parametric cost models and provide rapid, reliable cost estimates across projects and programs to support early-phase decision-making for the next generation of commercial technologies and airplanes.
Requirements
- Experience performing parametric estimates and data analysis
- Experience performing substantiated quick-turn (1-2 weeks) Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates and tests of reasonableness
- Familiarity with production engineering concepts (flow, capacity, reliability, defect/quality)
Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and maintain parametric cost models and estimating tools to support concept and preliminary design phases
- Produce timely, defensible high-level cost estimates using parametric, analogous, and statistical methods
- Collaborate with engineering, program management, supply chain, and finance to collect data inputs, verify assumptions, and refine models
- Perform sensitivity, risk, and uncertainty analysis to quantify cost drivers and present ranges and confidence intervals
- Supports development of estimates and prices from complex technical requirements through design
- Performs analysis and provides recommendations in support of pricing and estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)
Other
- 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of experience with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working in multifaceted and engage with teams across multiple functions
- Experience working under tight deadlines with competing priorities
- Experience supporting business decisions in a manufacturing/production context
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
