The Quality Inspector, Product QC at Baker Hughes is tasked with ensuring that mechanical parts meet design and manufacturing requirements within the Oilfield Services & Equipment (OFSE) Portfolio. The role addresses the need for accurate product inspection and the identification of defects to maintain quality standards.
Requirements
- Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and procedures.
- Ability to identify and use monitoring and measuring equipment needed to verify requirements.
- Responsible for performing inspections such as visual, dimensional inspection of the parts requires measurement equipment knowledge and use.
- Works with Baker Hughes management system databases and systems (SAP, Oracle BHOS, Agility, etc.)
- May need to program or calibrate inspection equipment
Responsibilities
- Performs quality inspections such as visual, dimensional and NDE inspection of parts, assemblies and subassemblies.
- Ensure that the parts meet the design & manufacturing requirements
- Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and procedures.
- Ability to identify and use monitoring and measuring equipment needed to verify requirements.
- Responsible for performing inspections such as visual, dimensional inspection of the parts requires measurement equipment knowledge and use.
- Completes and maintains inspection records, inspection logs, calibration.
- Initiates non-conformance reports on all products, parts, assemblies and subassemblies that are not to requirements.
