The Boeing Company is looking for an Experienced Software Design and Analysis Engineer to support developmental ground and flight testing of Boeing B-1B Lancer and B-52H Stratofortress programs, aiming to improve the warfighting capabilities of the United States Air Force.
Requirements
- 3+ years of control systems and data acquisition systems experience
- 3+ years of experience with software design, development, debugging, and performing software integration and test
- 3+ years of experience with requirements, design, development, and test of software systems products
- Understand operating systems hardware/driver interfaces
- Troubleshoots hardware/driver compatibility problems within current and prior Windows systems
- Ability to deconstruct and interpret existing software code and ability to edit and transform it to modern standards while maintaining functionality
- Troubleshooting and interpreting experience with C/C++, C/.NET and Windows operating systems
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system
- Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
- Develop software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
- Develops, selects, tailors and deploys software processes, tools and metrics
- Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations
- Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards
- Interprets existing software code and transform it to modern standards while maintaining functionality

- Works under general direction
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Experience working in a Test Environment (Aircraft, Flight Line, Laboratory)
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
