The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Software Engineer–Embedded to support their Boeing Software Integration (BSF) team. The role focuses on supporting the Boeing Defense Services (BDS) business organization by developing Python-based devops tools, supporting devops tasks within the Boeing Software Factory, and creating tooling to automate software product orchestration, packaging, and testing across the company.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience developing Python modules and/or scripts
- 3+ years of experience developing CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab CI preferred)
- 3+ years of experience developing software for embedded systems, using one or more real-time operating systems (RTOS)
- 2+ years of experience with C/C++ development
- 1+ years of experience with Bazel (Module development preferred)
- Rust development experience
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
Responsibilities
- A fast paced, small team that automates common development tasks in the Boeing Software Factory by providing devops support
- Gitlab CI Pipeline implementation and updates to existing pipelines
- Bazel module updates and implementation to support various development languages (Python, C, C++, Java, Rust, etc...)
- Python tool development
- Works under general direction with various teams to help with their migration into the Boeing Software Factory
