The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Software Engineer to support the Space Launch System (SLS) Exploration Upper Stage (EUS)-SC Operating Systems and Security team, focusing on software and hardware development, maintenance, and security for the EUS, including engine ignition and cutoff sequences, thrust vector control, and other critical flight functions.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
- 5 years of experience in Jira, GitLab, Confluence, Artifactory, Ansible, Python and other scripting languages
- 5 years of experience in RISCS (NASA risk management software), DOORS (Requirements Management), Microsoft Office
- 5 years of experience in Network architecture, configuration and support
- Knowledge of programming languages used for networking problems.
- Knowledge of computing equipment and multiple operating systems.
- Knowledge of communications, networking protocols.
Responsibilities
- Partners with stakeholders to identify and review product security requirements.
- Conducts performance analysis, testing, monitoring and software assessments of networking protocol software to assess, identify and address risks, weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
- Provides input on secure network and protocols throughout the end-to-end lifecycle development of software products.
Other
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Occasional travel may be required (less than 10%)
- Ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
