The Boeing Company is looking for an Experienced Software Engineer – Systems to join the Space Battle Management, Command and Control (SBMC2) team to support the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization. This role will contribute to the development and delivery of innovative software solutions for next generation ground command and control capabilities.
Requirements
- 2 or more years of experience with Agile software development
- 2 or more years of experience with software development, systems architecture, programming
- 2 or more years of experience with object-oriented design and implementation
- Experience coding in Java and JavaScript
- 2 or more years of experience working in working in an Agile Environment utilizing Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.) or similar tools
- Experience with open architecture development
- Experience with system architecture analysis
Responsibilities
- Support definition of requirements, interfaces, and concept of operations through supporting and/or chairing working group meetings
- Perform technical analyses to develop and validate models of system behavior; identify solutions to complex problems
- Completes software system-level analyses to identify risks, issues and opportunities; integrates and deploys mitigation actions throughout the software lifecycle
- Performs code reviews to ensure alignment to requirements and standards
- Develop user documentation and training to educate end users about usage of software products
- Experience coding in Java and JavaScript
- Experience developing adapters based on the Open Mission Systems (OMS) Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI) standards
Other
- Understand and communicate prioritization of efforts to multi-disciplinary team
- Serve as a direct interface to both internal and external customers
- Work in an industry consortium with diverse viewpoints
- This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).
