The Boeing Company is seeking an Experienced Software Quality Engineer to support the Software Quality team in Layton, Utah, and focus on supporting the Boeing Defense Services (BDS) business organization, to develop and maintain a culture of first-time quality throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Requirements
- Experience with Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test
- Experience with verification, validation, certification and qualification processes and procedures, including knowledge of governing regulations and compliance requirements
- 1+ years of experience in a Regulated environment Quality Management System, International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS91001), DO-178C
- Experience in the Military Standards industry, military and government specifications and standards as it relates to Software Development Life Cycle
- Experience with DevSecOps and associated tools
- Knowledge of quality standards (e.g. AS9115)
- Experience with Agile
Responsibilities
- Defines and maintains large scale program software quality engineering processes, resources and infrastructure
- Leads process improvement activities
- Supports development of organization policies, procedures, infrastructure and metrics to support business objectives
- Prepares and presents information at formal review meetings
- Plans and develop proposals and cost estimate
- Reviews supplier proposals and makes software quality source selection recommendations
- Leads review and approval of software life cycle documents and program products
Other
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 2+ years of experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
- This position is expected to be 100% onsite
