Boeing is looking for an F-22 Pilot Training Entry-Level SWE – Simulation to support the Boeing Global Services (BGS) Software Engineering organization. The role will focus on developing products used in the training of F-22 fighter pilots, including avionics simulation, advanced simulation toolsets, deployable training devices, and mixed/augmented/virtual reality simulations.
Requirements
- Proficiency with C/C++
- Experience with Windows OS and Linux/Red Hat OS
- Experience using Software Development tools such as Git, Bitbucket, MS Visual Studio, Version One/Agility, GNAT Pro, GLStudio
- Classroom or professional experience developing software
- Experience in real-time operating systems and software development
- Experience in Unity game engine and scripting.
- Experience developing in OpenGL, Python, and Qt, C-Sharp, Ada, Fortan.
Responsibilities
- Assists with the design, architecture, and development of simulation models, virtual environments/platforms, and frameworks to enhance test performance and durability of software systems throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Contributes to partnering with stakeholders to review and identify simulation requirements and dynamics of the systems being simulated.
- Participates in data collection and processing for use in simulations.
- Assists with validation, verification, and refinement of simulation software code, models, simulations, test procedures, and test environments, and modeling against real-world data, test data, benchmarks, or other similar models.
- Assists with documenting and maintaining technical code, algorithms, specifications, and descriptions of simulation models.
- Contributes to partnership with cross-functional engineering teams to enable integration of simulation software with hardware devices and systems.
- Assists with implementing current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and methods in the software engineering simulation environment.

- Ability to Obtain U.S. Secret – Interim Pre-Start & Final Post Start & Special Program Access
- Ability to perform Application Programming Interface (API) design, implementation, and testing.
- Ability to build, integrate, test, and troubleshoot software components comprising simulation models and build/execution frameworks.
