Nissan is looking for a Facilities Engineering Intern to support model changes or facility construction projects in the assigned area, provide technical support to the site operations team, and ensure continuous reliability and uptime improvements to systems in assigned areas.
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of word processors, spreadsheets, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to create specialized applications or products of a highly technical nature
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in Engineering
- Zero to 1 years of related experience at a professional level.
Responsibilities
- Specifies, designs, and installs facilities systems in the assigned area; monitors systems and provides modifications as required to support model changes or facility construction projects in the assigned area; provides technical support to the site operations team.
- Provides system problem-solving in assigned areas; ensures continuous reliability and uptime improvements to systems in assigned areas; analyzes trends and symptoms, addresses quality and downtime concerns, and provides countermeasures in a timely manner.
- Communicates with vendors and suppliers as needed to support project goals.
- Maintains and updates documentation of new and existing systems in assigned areas; maintains and updates electrical, schematic, and mechanical drawings for new and modified systems and equipment.
- Assists in the development of budgets for assigned areas; prepares project folders and supports cost and feasibility studies for new construction projects.

- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and will be required to provide proof of employment eligibility at the time of hire
- GPA of 3.0 or above
- Ability to perform work onsite at the Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant.
- Degree Level: Sophomore or Junior
- Preferred Degree: Engineering
