The Division of Facilities’ Capital Programs group is responsible for high level oversight of multiple multi-million-dollar NYCT Subways’ Capital and Operating projects for the rehabilitation, reconstruction and component repair/replacement of Subways’ above-ground facility buildings throughout the NYCT network.
Requirements
- baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution in architecture, engineering, or a related field
- NYS PE License preferred
- Experience performing site inspections, documenting site conditions and construction activities, coordinating with end users and contractor staff, and responding to contractor requests for information
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Understands construction methodology, materials & finishes and furniture specifications
- Knowledge of capital design and construction process
Responsibilities
- leading and managing an engineering group
- review of design documents
- coordinating and liaising with internal and external stakeholders on all aspects of project management
- scheduling and coordinating field visits to ascertain project activities and status
- assisting NYCT user groups with technical aspects of the project
- monitor project performance against established baselines and pursuing opportunities for improved performance
- participation in construction closeout and commissioning efforts on behalf of the end users
Other
- Six (6) years of related experience and two (2) years must have been in a managerial or supervisory capacity
- Education and Experience: A baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution in architecture, engineering, or a related field
- Must file an Annual Statement of Financial Disclosure (FDS) with the NYS Commission on Ethics and Lobbying in Government (the “Commission”)
- Managerial experience
- Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
