Connections Health Solutions is looking to hire a Facility Safety and Security Coordinator to maintain a safe and secure environment for all individuals, staff, and visitors within their behavioral health crisis care facilities.
Requirements
- Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques in alignment with facility policies and training standards.
- Training in crisis intervention, de-escalation, or related security certifications
Responsibilities
- Monitor entrances, exits, and facility grounds to ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Safely and effectively perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques, ensuring the safety and dignity of individuals and staff.
- Use trauma-informed, non-coercive interventions to de-escalate individuals in distress.
- Ensure adherence to facility policies regarding visitor access, contraband, and security screenings.
- Document all incidents accurately and completely in incident reports and electronic systems.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, incidents, or disturbances.
- Conduct regular patrols of interior and exterior areas to maintain a secure environment.
Other
- Lived experience of recovery from mental health and/or substance use challenges
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress or emergency situations.
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or behavioral health setting
- Commitment to trauma-informed practices and recovery principles.
